A consequence of our always-connected digital world is that more and more people are suffering from the effects of burnout. The World Health Organization (WHO) defines burnout as a syndrome resulting from chronic workplace stress which is characterized by:
• feelings of energy depletion or exhaustion,
• increased mental distance from one’s job, or feelings of negativism or cynicism related to one's job
• reduced professional efficacy.
Ana Smith, CLO of Brightflare Performance Solutions, and Colin Corby, founder of Technology Wellbeing co-presented the 'Future of Work is Human - Burnout Syndrome' event on Wednesday 31 August 2022. This was the third in a series of LinkedIn webinars which brings to life some of the key insights in their article 'Digital Transformation - The Human Experience'.**
